3-8-07 Bring The Children "Matthew 19:13-15"

Memory Verse: Matthew 19:14: But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

A lady once told her pastor that she wanted him to understand that her new care was not to be used for transporting children to Sunday School and other church activities. She didn't want dirty boots tracking mud into her sparkling new toy. She feared scratches in the interior and snagged upholstery.

Poor lady.
Poor car.

What better use can one make of any possession than to employ it in bringing people to Christ? Everything we see is temporary. All junked cars hiding behind high fences and being stripped of parts a piece at a time were once new and shiny. Change and decay are the way of all temporal possessions.

When we invest in lives, we lay up eternal treasures. God loves children. So should we.

How many children in your neighborhood do not attend a Bible teaching church? What are you doing about it?

Do you think children are to much trouble? That was the attitude of the disciples. Some churches are not interested in children because they cannot give large gifts in the offerings. The Judgment Seat of Christ will be difficult for Christians with that approach.

Neglect of children in a community is spiritual blindness. The salvation of a child is great treasure -- and a whole life of service may result. Lay aside less important matters and reach the children in your area.
