Memory Verse: John 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
It's been said often: HEAVEN IS A PREPARED PLACE FOR A PREPARED PEOPLE. But sometimes we forget that the promise given by Jesus also includes a prepared way through this life for those who trust Him.
Here is a whole new dimension to Christian responsibility. Everywhere He sends us awaits us. We walk no untrodden pathways. Our Lord is the Good Shepherd -- not a cattle driver: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand" (John 10:27-29).
From the Lord's standpoint, then, there are no pioneer mission fields. We break no new ground. He is there before us. And there are no accidents along the way. He guides each step we take.
Take this great truth out of the far-flung mission field experience and apply it to today's opportunities. Christ will go before you today, preparing your way and moving the hearts of those to whole you are to witness of His love and grace. Today's targets have already been prepared by experiences in their lives for the truth of God's Word to be effective as you share it.
What if you fail to speak the truth in love?
That would be like farmer preparing his soil and then never sowing the seed. God has been moving through your world with His great plow . . . preparing soil . . . the hearts of your associates.
What a good day to sow and reap!
