Children

Proverbs 22:6

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Your approach to guiding and directing your children:

* Make sure there is a clear understanding of the rules.
* Discipline in private. If you're in a public setting, wait until you can be alone.
* Review the infraction and its consequences.
* Be firm in your discipline.
* Assure your child of your love and concern.
* Hold your child firmly after each discipline.
* End your session with a time of prayer. (Give your child an opportunity to pray too.)
